Lead Engineer

Key Responsibilities: - Model engineering excellence, supporting team growth and development practices. - Develop software applications for Xero's suite of products, enhancing customer experiences. - Address technical complexities, simplify solutions, and make data-driven decisions. - Live Xero's vision and values, communicate them effectively, and integrate them into daily activities. - Build relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering trust and credibility. - Lead innovation and delivery, solving customer problems through technology. - Provide coaching and mentorship, encouraging best practices among teams. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - Experience with C#/.NET, React, SQL Server, and AWS. - Willingness to experiment with new languages and tooling. - Ability to make code design decisions for all teams’ products. - Experience in auditing codebases for security, testability, and ease of changes. - Expertise in distributed systems architecture. - Lead discussions on application design and scaling products. - Experience in incident coordination and coaching across multiple disciplines.
