Senior Software Engineer (Ruby) [Temporary role]

Key Responsibilities: - Design and build high-quality systems, collaborating with multiple teams and iterations. - Analyze issues, diagnose root causes, and create backend solutions aligned with business needs. - Write efficient, maintainable code, focusing on system performance, reliability, and security. - Monitor and maintain backend infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve bugs, and improve scalability. - Contribute to best practices, mentor team members, and review code to uphold quality standards. - Document backend processes, participate in technical discussions, and advise on project breakdowns and task estimation. - Stay current with backend technologies, support onboarding, and collaborate with architects on evolving backend architecture. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - Proficiency in Ruby. - Strong background in backend development with a solid understanding of programming fundamentals. - Knowledgeable in best practices for code structure, readability, and maintainability. - Experience with software design patterns relevant to backend systems. - Strong experience in designing, building, and integrating APIs, with an understanding of RESTful and/or GraphQL standards. - Experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining software products in a production environment. - Familiarity with backend architectural patterns (e.g., MVC) and experience with microservices. - Experience delivering solutions iteratively, with a continuous focus on optimization and improvement. - Experience designing and deploying microservices-based architectures. - Familiarity with AWS services, including deployment and monitoring solutions.
