Senior SOC Security Engineer I, Remote

Overview: - Senior SOC Security Engineer role within the Security Operations Center (SOC). - Responsible for leading security monitoring and incident response technologies. - Collaborates with SOC analysts and security professionals. - Mentors junior SOC engineers and analysts. - Serves as subject matter expert for emerging threats and security technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Engineer and implement security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure). - Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of security monitoring infrastructure (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, firewalls). - Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and procedures. - Provide expert analysis of security events and coordinate containment and remediation strategies. - Mentor junior SOC engineers and analysts. - Investigate, analyze, and respond to complex security incidents. - Evaluate new security technologies and recommend enhancements. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. - Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, SOC engineering, threat detection, and incident response. - Expertise in managing SIEM platforms, EDR tools, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and cloud security technologies. - Strong knowledge of security operations, malware analysis, vulnerability management tools, and advanced log/network traffic analysis. - Preferred certifications: CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, CEH, OSCP, or GIAC.
