Engineering Manager, Product Engineering

**Overview:** - 1Password is a company focused on creating a safer, simpler digital future by managing important information securely. - The company is growing its leadership team and is hiring an Engineering Manager for Product Engineering teams. - The role involves supporting teams in application security and managing integrations through the 1Password Marketplace. - The Engineering Manager will be responsible for tactical execution, team coordination, hiring, and coaching. - The role is remote, with occasional travel for in-person engagement. **Key Responsibilities:** - Support Security Development and Marketplace teams in engineering design review, feature implementation, vulnerability remediation, and constructing security building blocks. - Coordinate activities such as cycle planning, design reviews, and project planning. - Hire and coach world-class talent for the team. - Manage large-scale projects affecting business, product, or architecture. - Create and maintain a positive team environment, motivating and inspiring team members. - Make final decisions on team matters and tackle complex problems. - Drive project delivery and create roadmaps for future work. - Engage in cross-functional communication and build strong partnerships. - Grow a team of strong engineers and refine hiring, onboarding, and development processes. **Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:** - At least 3 years of experience managing software engineering teams. - Significant hands-on development experience, preferably in the app space. - Experience in solving complex problems and coaching developers. - Successful delivery of large-scale projects across business, product, or architecture. - Ability to create and maintain a positive team environment. - Strong technical leadership and experience in application security. - Experience managing remote and distributed teams. - User experience/design background and experience in building and scaling products. - Experience in the SaaS B2B space and security domains. - Willingness to roll up sleeves and tackle technical challenges. **Compensation & Benefits:** - USA-based roles: Annual base salary between $187,000 - $253,000 USD. - Canada-based roles: Annual base salary between $168,000 - $228,000 CAD. - Immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program, including health, dental, RRSP, and more. - Generous paid time off, wellness spending allowance, and wellness coach membership. - Company equity and retirement matching program. - Training budget, access to 1Password University, and peer-to-peer recognition through Bonusly. - Flexibility to request accommodations during the recruitment process. - Equal opportunity employer with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
