Staff Software Engineer, Security

Overview: - Lime, a global electric vehicle company, seeks a Staff Security Software Engineer to join their Security team. - The role is part of Lime's mission to create a carbon-free future with shared, affordable transportation. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement security, privacy, fraud, and resiliency solutions following the NIST framework. - Develop and maintain incident response plans, improve security-related standards and processes. - Mentor and train junior engineers. - Scrutinize technology and architecture choices, anticipate challenges, and influence technical direction. - Improve infrastructure following modern security practices for cloud-native application development. - Design and implement security/privacy controls to protect user data and comply with regulations. - Address account takeover and service abuse issues. - Build responsive web/mobile applications focusing on front-end technologies. - Collaborate with UX/UI designers for user interfaces. - Ensure smooth integration between user interfaces and server-side logic. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - 10+ years of combined industry experience, with at least 5 years in software development. - Track record of building impactful security products or systems. - Experience with setting up monitoring, metrics & reporting systems. - Strong understanding of cloud-native application development (Web, Mobile, Cloud, IoT, Firmware). - Proficiency in Python, Golang, TypeScript, Ruby, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Typescript, React. - Ability to communicate risks, priorities, and reasoning to partners, peers, and customers. - Contribution to Open-source security tooling and automation preferred. - Experience designing and deploying security products in consumer-facing products preferred.
