Google Cloud Infrastructure Support

**Overview:** - Senior Support Administrator role at Pythian, focusing on managed database and application infrastructure operations. - Responsible for staying updated with new technologies and best practices, mentoring team members, and collaborating on long-term roadmaps. - Ensures consistency and unity across Pythian through collaboration with other Technical Leads. - Researches and advises on complex problems, managing large-scale infrastructure across Cloud, Hybrid, and On-Premise environments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Promote new technologies and best practices within the team and to technical leads. - Mentor team members, fostering innovation and continuous improvement. - Collaborate on long-term roadmaps for the team, aligning with Pythian's requirements. - Stay informed of client technologies, summarizing relevant news. - Investigate and resolve complex problems using Cloud Logging and other tools. - Manage infrastructure as code, Kubernetes clusters, and GCP cloud native services. - Administer web servers, supporting technologies, and multiple monitoring solutions. - Script and automate administrative tasks using Shell scripting or Python. - Work in a managed services environment or corporate IT, with experience in systems administration or engineering. **Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:** - Strong understanding and expertise in GCP, AWS, or Azure. - Experience managing large-scale infrastructure across various environments. - Knowledge of GCP Billing, identity and access management solutions, and Infrastructure as code. - Understanding of Kubernetes, Cloud Networking, and Cloud Monitoring. - Solid system administration fundamentals with a Linux focus. - Experience with multiple monitoring solutions, configuration management tools, and scripting. - Prior experience in a managed services environment or corporate IT. - Database Administration skills with Oracle/SQL Server/Opensource. **Compensation & Benefits:** - Competitive total rewards package, including salary, shifted work time bonus, and annual bonus plan. - Annual training allowance, 2 paid professional development days, conference attendance. - 3 weeks of paid time off and flexible working hours. - Equipment provision for home office, including a laptop and budget for personalization. - Opportunity to blog during work hours and volunteer for charity. **Disclaimer:** - Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. - Background check requirements must be fulfilled. - Accommodations available upon request for all aspects of the selection process.
