Linux Site Reliability Consultant

Overview: - Site Reliability Consultant role at Pythian, India, with remote work options. - Focus on Site Reliability Engineering team building. - Responsibilities include technology leadership, client advisory, mentoring, infrastructure architecture, automation, and intelligent monitoring systems. Key Responsibilities: - Operate, maintain, and administer solutions for customer infrastructure efficiency, availability, and visibility. - Plan maintenance activities, design documentation, and standard procedures. - Provide Root Cause Analysis reports for IT incidents. - Improve team documentation and client infrastructure. - Conduct audit activities, analyze information, and identify improvement opportunities. - Collaborate with teammates for continuous culture improvement. - Act as a technology leader for clients and drive technology roadmap discussions. - Participate in on-call rotation and escalation capacity. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - Experience with Google and AWS Clouds, including infrastructure as code deployment tools. - Proficiency in Python scripting and automation. - Solid understanding of microservices architecture, container technologies, and software development lifecycles. - Comprehensive systems hardware and network troubleshooting experience. - Knowledge of common Linux distribution, network services, and virtual infrastructure. - Experience with Puppet, networking devices, and DevOps tools. - Ability to investigate and troubleshoot system errors. - Ability to learn new technologies quickly. - Competency in work scheduling and task estimations.
