Linux Site Reliability Consultant

Overview: - Site Reliability Consultant role at Pythian, Hyderabad or Bengaluru, India - Hybrid or Remote work, EST time zone (6:30 PM - 3:30 AM IST) - Technology leader, client advisor, and mentor - Infrastructure architecture, automation, and intelligent monitoring systems - Contribute to operational efficiency, availability, and visibility Key Responsibilities: - Operate, maintain, and administer solutions for customer infrastructure - Plan maintenance activities, design documentation, and standard procedures - Provide Root Cause Analysis reports for IT incidents - Improve and maintain team documentation about client systems and infrastructure - Conduct audit activities and analyze information for improvement opportunities - Collaborate with teammates for continuous improvement - Act as a technology leader for clients and drive technology road maps - Participate in on-call rotation in an escalation capacity Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - Experience with Google and AWS Clouds, including infrastructure as code deployment - Scripting and automation of administrative tasks using Python - Solid understanding of microservices architecture and container technologies - Knowledge of software development lifecycles and best practices from an infrastructure point of view - Comprehensive systems hardware and network troubleshooting experience - Experience with virtual infrastructure, hypervisors, and networking devices - Understanding of DevOps tools, processes, and culture - Ability to learn new technologies quickly - Ability to provide accurate work scheduling and task estimations Compensation & Benefits: - Competitive total rewards package with excellent take-home salaries - Shifted work time bonus (if applicable) and annual bonus plan - 3 weeks of paid time off and flexible working hours - Equipment for remote work, including a laptop with choice of OS - Annual training allowance, 2 paid professional development days, conference attendance - Opportunity to volunteer for charity Disclaimer: - Equivalent combination of education and experience considered - Background check requirements - Accommodations available upon request for all aspects of the selection process
