Sr UX Researcher

Overview: - Bixal, a consulting company based in Fairfax, VA, is seeking to accelerate digital transformation across the federal government. - The role involves applying human-centered design methods and innovation to deliver enterprise modernization at scale. - Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing and conducting research, analyzing findings, and communicating insights. - The role supports one of Bixal's esteemed federal clients and contributes to the development of research frameworks and principles. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and business requirements. - Design and conduct research methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic studies. - Analyze and synthesize research findings into actionable insights and recommendations. - Communicate research findings to teams, stakeholders, and clients. - Lead the development and maintenance of research plans, protocols, and documentation. - Mentor junior researchers and share knowledge and best practices. - Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders. - Stay updated with the latest research trends and drive innovation in the research function. - Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in UX research, human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in UX research, preferably in a federal consulting or government environment. - Demonstrated expertise in research methods and user-centered design principles. - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Leadership experience and willingness to mentor junior researchers. - UX design experience is strongly preferred. - Ability to pass and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
