Background Investigator

**Overview:** - CertiK, a blockchain security pioneer founded by Yale and Columbia professors, applies academic innovations to enterprise blockchain security. - The company is a market leader with clients like Aave and Binance Smart Chain. - The role focuses on delivering CertiK's KYC badge product for Web3 project teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct background interviews and investigations into project teams. - Manage the delivery of CertiK’s KYC badge product. - Communicate KYC badge status and requirements to clients. - Document findings to support KYC badge decisions. - Evaluate project teams for quality and risk factors. - Create content and thought leadership on KYC and investigations in Web3. **Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:** - 3+ years of experience in investigations, KYC, or related fields. - Proven experience with complex behavioral interviews. - Fluent in English with excellent communication skills. - Experience with OSINT investigations and familiarity with Web3 platforms. - Understanding of KYC regulations and compliance standards. - Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment. - Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks. - Passionate about crypto and willing to learn about new projects. **Compensation & Benefits:** - Target annual salary: $60,000 - $100,000, based on skills and experience. - Medical, vision, and dental insurance. - 401(k) plan with company matching. - Life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. - HSA with high deductible plan. - FSA. - Variable commission program for business development roles. - Flexible paid time off and holidays. - Equal opportunity employer, compliant with federal law for employment eligibility verification. - Supports diversity and inclusion within the company.
