Financial Analyst II

**Overview:** - Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) aims to transition to fusion energy. - Focuses on designing and building commercially viable fusion power plants. - Seeks Financial Analysts to join the FP&A function. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop forecasting processes for cost tracking from estimate to purchase order. - Support SPARC metrics development using financial and engineering data. - Improve data accuracy for engineering and procurement teams. - Build financial forecasts for direct materials and prototype costs. - Track and report on HTS systems to business leaders. - Monitor purchase orders and analyze budget variances. - Contribute to financial reporting processes. - Engage with budget leaders and collaborate with internal stakeholders. - Ensure accurate budget mapping, data integrity, and process improvement. **Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or STEM fields. - Experience in budget development, forecasting, and financial analysis. - Understanding of long-term financial planning and analysis. - 2-5 years of experience in a fast-growing technology company. - Strong Excel and SQL skills. - High energy, engagement, and flexibility during busy periods. - Excellent communication and data presentation skills. - Collaborative work style. - Familiarity with Python or similar programming languages. - Experience with enterprise applications and data architecture. - Willingness to learn and tackle complex problems. - Ability to perform extended periods of typing and sitting. - Willingness to travel and work on-call occasionally. - Comfort with industrial hazards. **Compensation & Benefits:** - Salary range: $80,000 - $180,000 annually. - Equity component included. - 12.5 Company-wide Holidays. - Flexible vacation days. - 10 sick days. - Generous parental leave policy. - Health, dental, and vision insurance. - 401(k) with employer matching. - Professional growth opportunities. - Team-building activities. - Remote work option (#LI-Remote). - Equal opportunity employer by choice.
