Quality Engineer (9 to 12 months contract)

Overview: - Quality Engineer role at Everbridge for Travel Risk Management and SaaS-based Critical Event Management platforms. - Contract position, duration of 9-12 months, fully remote, open to Hungary-based candidates. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with engineering and support teams to embed quality best practices. - Build and execute API and GUI tests, both manually and via automation scripts. - Write and execute test plans for new features and applications. - Track issues, identify root causes, and generate test reports. - Perform quality inspections of test and development artifacts. - Drive quality control around CI/CD pipeline process and implementations. - Provide technical guidance to developers on quality tasks. - Drive a culture of quality within the team. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - 4+ years of Quality Engineering experience in an automated testing environment. - 4+ years of experience automated testing using Python, preferably Pytest. - 3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment. - Experience with GUI and REST API testing (C#/Python with Selenium, SpecFlow). - Experience with mobile app testing (Android and iOS). - Experience with database querying or scripting (MS SQL Server). - Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline and build tools (Azure DevOps/Jenkins, Artifactory, Spinnaker, Helm, K8s, Salt, Terraform, Redis). - Strong understanding of QA methodology and Software Development Life-cycle using Agile principles in SAFe Agile. - Bonus qualifications: Familiarity with Amazon Web Services technologies, experience testing API endpoints and React applications, knowledge of React Testing Library and Jest, unit test reporting via SonarQube, MongoDB testing experience.
