Legal Counsel

Overview: - Kiddom is an educational platform focused on student equity and growth through high-quality instructional materials and digital learning. - The role is Kiddom’s first dedicated legal counsel, reporting to the VP of Strategy and Operations. Key Responsibilities: - Drafting and reviewing legal documents to ensure clarity and alignment with company goals. - Supporting negotiations to protect and enforce the company’s interests. - Ensuring compliance with commercial, transactional, and privacy laws and regulations. - Conducting risk assessments and proposing solutions to mitigate legal risks. - Developing standard templates and streamlining processes for legal needs. - Interfacing directly with Counsel representing clients, partners, and vendors. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - Successful experience in a wide range of legal matters, including corporate reporting and governance. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Strong negotiation skills and business acumen. - Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. - Legal support experience for sales organizations at scale. - Ability to work autonomously and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment. - Balance legal risk with business objectives.
