Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities: - Design and execution of SOA backend platforms, primarily REST-based frameworks using Java. - High-level and low-level design of scalable components. - Tracking defects, managing backlogs, and addressing non-functional requirements like scale, availability, performance, and security. - AWS DevOps-related work, including builds and deployments. - Collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team environment and establishing professional networks. - Defining project roadmaps, leading engineering teams, and conducting feedback sessions. - Influencing engineering optimizations and working with product managers to define business roadmaps. - Executing business and technology roadmaps in collaboration with other engineering teams. - Accountability for outcomes, driving product vision and strategy. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - 7+ years’ experience in Computer Science or related fields. - 4+ years of people management experience. - 2+ years of recent full-stack development experience. - Extensive experience with agile environments and the full software development life cycle. - AWS Aurora, Kafka, and MWAA experience. - Proficiency in Java, Spring boot, RDBMS, NoSQL, ElasticSearch, Node.js, and JS frameworks. - Strong experience with AWS cloud technologies. - Strong analytical skills, organization, and experience with asynchronous messaging systems like Kafka. - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and excellent communication skills. - Knowledge of SQL, Advanced Excel, data mining, DW/BI, Power BI, SQL & ETL DW concepts, R, ML modeling, and visualization tools. - Experience with modern data warehousing solutions like AWS Redshift, Snowflake, GCP BigQuery.
