Field Applications Engineer, Software Autonomy Applications (R3166)

Overview: - Software Applications Engineer role at Shield AI, a defense technology company. - Support customers with implementation and use of enterprise software products. - Require international travel up to 12 months for extended periods. Key Responsibilities: - Expertise in Hivemind enterprise software stack. - Technical support, training, and development of AI & Autonomy applications. - Assistance in pre-sales activities, post-sales deployment, and integration. - Development and maintenance of technical documentation and training materials. - Troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and debugging software/API integration. - Collaboration with engineering team for product improvement. - Visiting customers globally for software integration and development support. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - 7+ years of industry experience or 6+ years plus a master's degree. - Minimum 50% travel requirement, with extended periods abroad. - 3+ years of experience in integration/applications engineering. - Strong technical background in software engineering, proficiency in C++ and Python. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. - Preferred experience in defense aviation or robotics, and running a software engineering team. Compensation & Benefits: - Salary range: $150,697 - $226,046 per year. - Full-time regular employee package includes pay, bonus, benefits, and equity. - Temporary employee package includes pay and temporary benefits after 60 days of employment. - Compensation influenced by skill set, experience, licenses, certifications, and work location. - Equal opportunity employer, with benefits available upon clearance and reference check. - Military fellows and part-time employees are not eligible for benefits.
