PLM Systems Administrator (R3344)

Overview: - Shield AI, a defense technology company founded in 2015, seeks a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems Administrator. - The role involves managing PLM infrastructure and applications, including CAD systems from Siemens Dassault Systèmes. - Responsibilities include deploying, maintaining, and improving CAD-related systems and environments. - The position supports Shield AI's mission to protect service members and civilians with intelligent, autonomous systems. Key Responsibilities: - Manage production, development, and test environments for PLM infrastructure. - Deploy, configure, and maintain CAD systems like Teamcenter, NX, and Solidworks. - Monitor and improve PLM production environment for performance, reliability, and scalability. - Implement and maintain PLM test environments, focusing on environment spin-up/refresh. - Facilitate the implementation of new CAD tools and features, ensuring minimal downtime. - Provide support and training to CAD engineering users and troubleshoot issues. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PLM into other systems. - Stay updated with the latest PLM features by coordinating with vendors and third-party service providers. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - 4+ years of experience in engineering systems (PLM, CAD, CAE, SysML) with a focus on Siemens and Dassault Systèmes. - 4+ years of experience administering Windows and Linux server and desktop operating systems. - Working knowledge of VMWare and/or Azure public cloud. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. - Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Preferred experience in production and test environments, Microsoft Windows Server administration, virtualization platforms, Agile project management, cloud middleware, data management, containerization, and cluster orchestration.
