Principal Engineer Full Stack Developer (Remote) (R#3345)

Overview: - Shield AI is a defense technology company founded in 2015, focusing on intelligent, autonomous systems. - Offers products like Hivemind Enterprise, Pilot, Commander, and Forge, supporting U.S. and allied operations globally. - Headquartered in San Diego, with additional offices in Dallas, Washington, D.C., Abu Dhabi, Kyiv, and Melbourne. Key Responsibilities: - Work on integrating Hivemind Edge, Design, and Commander into an integrated product. - Architect and build AI interfaces for seamless human-AI interaction. - Implement streaming interfaces for continuous AI feedback. - Develop thoughtful UI design and implementation for complex AI systems. - Collaborate with ML engineers and contribute to product and solution engineering teams. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. - 10+ years of experience in developing large, production quality software systems. - Strong grasp of software development principles, proficiency in mainstream languages (Typescript, C++, Go, Python). - Experience with Git, code management tools, and software hygiene practices. - 5+ years of experience with React/Node/Typescript and React Components. - Strong technical collaboration skills and a willingness to learn. - Demonstrated record of hard work, trustworthiness, high standards, and kindness. - Fluid intelligence for operating effectively in ambiguous conditions. - Experience with geospatial data, WebGL, design systems, major cloud platforms, Linux, Docker, CI/CD environments, WebSockets, Electron, Playwright UI testing, and client-side LLM Context Management.
