Chief Development Officer

**Overview:** - KIND is a global leader in protecting unaccompanied and separated children. - The organization is expanding its work in the Americas and Europe. - KIND is seeking a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead its development strategy and fundraising efforts. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and own KIND’s overarching development strategy. - Lead and review the fundraising roadmap to increase KIND's revenue. - Create and oversee the annual fundraising plan and budget. - Champion a sustainable approach to development planning and donor pipeline management. - Act as external spokesperson for KIND and work with Advocacy and Communications. - Develop fundraising strategies for new areas of work and manage donor relationships. - Oversee government funding coordination and ensure funds are managed effectively. - Serve as a visionary leader to the Development team and prepare regular updates for stakeholders. - Design and oversee fundraising events and represent KIND at public events. **Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:** - Graduate degree and fluency in English. - Minimum of 15 years of Development experience, with at least five years in a senior role. - Proven track record of significant revenue growth and securing large gifts. - Strong experience in planning, leading, and managing large-scale development projects. - Knowledge of current and emerging development trends and practices. - Ability to supervise, train, and mentor employees. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. - Ability to work collaboratively, multitask, and manage multiple priorities. - Commitment to wellbeing and work-life balance. - Experience working in a remote environment. **Compensation & Benefits:** - Medical, dental, and vision insurance with KIND covering a portion of the premium. - Pre-tax flexible spending account (FSA). - Significant travel required (30%-45% of the time).
