Senior Data Engineer

**Overview:** - Thrive Market is an online, membership-based market founded in 2014. - Aims to make healthy and sustainable living easy and affordable. - Delivers high-quality products at member-only prices. - Certified B Corporation, Public Benefit Corporation, and Climate Neutral Certified company. - Seeks to bring healthy and sustainable living to millions of Americans. **Key Responsibilities:** - Orchestrate and deliver cohesive data engineering solutions. - Own the complete cycle of data services: ingestion, processing, ETL, and delivery. - Collaborate with technical teams to meet business and technical requirements. - Identify and resolve data integrity and performance issues. - Perform data source gap analysis and create catalogs and mappings. - Develop knowledge of cross system integration and relationships. - Design, coordinate, and execute pilots/prototypes/POC. - Recommend technical functionality for data engineering. - Facilitate workshops to define requirements and develop data solution designs. - Maintain a repository of data architecture artifacts and procedures. - Predict and devise data architecture to address business needs. **Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:** - Hands-on experience in Python, Scala, or Java. - Expertise with RDBMS, Data Warehousing, and SQL with Redshift, Snowflake, etc. - In-depth knowledge of data and information architecture patterns. - Proficiency in logical/physical data architecture, design, and development. - Experience with data lake/Big data analytics platforms, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, AWS Kinesis. - Hands-on experience developing distributed data processing platforms. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience with streaming data ingestion, machine-learning, and Apache Spark. - Ability to elicit, gather, and manage requirements in an Agile delivery environment. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Belong to a diverse, inclusive, and authentic culture. **Compensation & Benefits:** - Base salary range: $160,000 - $190,000/Per Year. - Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, disability). - Competitive salary with equity. - 401k plan. - 9 Days of Observed Holidays. - Flexible Paid Time Off. - Subsidized ClassPass Membership. - Free Thrive Market membership. - Coverage for Life Coaching & Therapy Sessions. - Diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace culture. - EEO/Veterans/Disabled/LGBTQ employer. - No payment required from job applicants. - Apply through the company website for added security.
