Machine Learning Engineer

Overview: - Valence is pioneering the first generative AI leadership coach for large enterprises. - The role is a Machine Learning Engineer for a conversational AI coaching product. - The position reports to the Head of AI and directly impacts product's core. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and optimize machine learning models for coaching insights. - Improve user experience in conversational interactions using LLMs. - Analyze user behavior and prioritize requirements with the product team. - Conduct statistical analyses for model optimization. - Research and develop new Conversational AI approaches. - Document models, prompts, and processes for quality improvements. - Stay updated with the latest ML, LLM, and Conversational AI advancements. - Support coding and feature development as needed. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience. - 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering or AI/ML development. - Knowledge of language technologies: dialogue systems, NLP, Information Retrieval. - Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow, JAX, Transformers/Adapters). - Experience with LLM model development, deployment, and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience structuring data-backed experiments. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Exposure to early-stage startups, preferably B2B SaaS.
