Senior Director of Tax

**Overview:** - TerrAscend is a leading multi-state, vertically integrated cannabis operator focused on cultivating exceptional marijuana therapies and high-quality products. - The company emphasizes innovation, excellence, and collaboration to shape the future of cannabis. **Key Responsibilities:** - Reporting to the SVP of Finance, the Senior Director of Tax will oversee TerrAscend’s tax function. - Develop and implement tax strategies, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and manage tax-related financial reporting. - Lead tax team management, including in-house staff and third-party tax firms. - Oversee tax audits, handle international tax regulations, and manage relationships with external auditors and tax authorities. - Provide tax due diligence and structuring advice for M&A. - Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as required. **Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:** - At least 8 years of progressive responsibility in Tax, with a mix of private and public experience at the Manager or higher level. - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Tax; Master’s or JD in Tax or CPA preferred. - Big Four tax/accounting or large corporate experience highly preferred, with cannabis industry experience highly preferred. - In-depth technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, innovative and creative solutions to complex issues. - Effective presentation skills, strategic, creative, and analytically minded. - Results-oriented, high level of influencing skills, and ability to adapt to changing business conditions. **Compensation & Benefits:** - Salary range: $190,000 - $205,000 per year. - Annual bonus: 25% of the base salary. - Eligible for all benefits-eligible employees, including employee discount, paid-time-off, health, vision, dental insurance, 98Point6 remote primary care, 401k with 4% matching, Employee Assistance Program, paid parental leave, life insurance, short & long-term disability, Flexible Spending Account, and wellness program. **Background Check Requirement:** - A complete background investigation will be conducted based on the rules of the specific State in which the employee is hired, typically including a state and federal background check. **EEO Statement:** - TerrAscend is an equal opportunity employer, prohibiting discrimination based on various protected characteristics and ensuring equal employment opportunities. **Disclaimer:** - This job description is illustrative and subject to change without notice.
