Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting

Overview: - TerrAscend is shaping the future of the cannabis industry with leading marijuana-based therapies and premium products. - The company is one of the largest and fastest-growing multi-state, vertically integrated cannabis operators in North America. - The role is for the next Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, focusing on building and improving the corporate accounting function. Key Responsibilities: - Ownership over month-end close process for U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries. - Partnering with finance function and senior leadership for accurate financial reporting. - Solving complex intercompany accounting issues, preparing SEC filings, and providing feedback to strengthen internal accounting practices. - Assisting with financial statement analysis, preparing consolidated schedules, and maintaining accounting records. - Ensuring compliance with financial controls, GAAP, and SEC Reporting standards. - Managing shared services accountants and overseeing functional areas. - Providing ad hoc reporting as required. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred. - 10+ years of related accounting experience, with significant exposure to general ledger accounting. - Experience in public accounting or a publicly traded company. - Experience with large, global ERP systems. - Superior organization and prioritization skills. - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. - Proven experience in managing and leading a team. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong Written and Verbal Communication. - Strong attention to detail and excellent organization abilities.
