Security Analyst-Managed Services

Key Responsibilities: - Monitor customer environments and perform Incident Detection, Validation, and Reporting. - Triage events, incidents, and report validated incidents for response. - Analyze security-related problems with strong technical and analytical skills. - Perform troubleshooting of customer issues, including hardware/software failures and security threats. - Monitor security feeds, maintain network security equipment, and understand security fundamentals. - Conduct proactive threat research and data mining of log sources. - Contain, analyze, eradicate malicious activity and document all activities during an incident. - Provide information on intrusion events and security incidents to clients. - Assist in developing processes to improve incident response times and overall SOC functions. - Report on incidents and security status. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - Incident handling/response experience. - Working knowledge of common operating systems and basic endpoint security principles. - Strong desire to learn common security technologies (IDS, Firewall, SIEM, etc.). - Creative problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Willingness to work independently and collaboratively. - Strong appetite for learning. - 2-4 years of experience in Information Security, Incident Response, etc. - Hands-on experience with common security technologies. - Knowledge of common security analysis tools, threats, attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and exploits. - Knowledge of regular expressions. - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent. - Certifications: CISSP, GCIA, Security+, CEH, ACSE.
