Overview: - Oracle Database Administrator role at Pythian, India, Bengaluru, and remote/hybrid options. - Pythian specializes in strategic database and analytics services, driving digital transformation and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate, analyze, design, implement, and administer database solutions as per customer needs. - Recommend best practices for operational process improvements. - Configure and maintain servers at the database and infrastructure level. - Troubleshoot operational problems and administer daily checks. - Communicate status and planning activities to customers and team members. - Participate in team’s rotational shift pattern and on-call coverage. - Learn different database technologies and provide support. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - Minimum 3+ years of experience managing Oracle databases, including Oracle RAC. - Good foundational understanding of Oracle database technologies. - Curiosity mindset and tenacity for diagnosing issues. - Troubleshooting and performance improvement skills (index creation, query optimization, schema changes, etc.). - Understanding of database security management. - Experience with logical and physical replication, Oracle DataGuard, and GoldenGate replication. - Basic knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager or PostgreSQL pgAdmin, with some Linux knowledge.
