Machine Learning Engineering Manager

**Overview:** - Role in Advertising Product & Technology team to build a next-generation advertising platform. - Focus on scaling user experience for fans and advertisers. - Lead a squad in the Ads Performance Platform - Demand product area. - Own relevance modeling and ad embeddings for all ad types. - Support probabilistic audiences to enhance ad targeting. - Collaborate with engineering, product, business, and leadership teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute strategies for ad relevance to maximize ad performance and revenue. - Use data analysis and machine learning to understand user behavior. - Foster a culture of experimentation and iteration. - Make data-driven decisions in an ambiguous environment. - Collaborate with product counterparts and data scientists. - Provide mentorship and foster a high-performing team environment. **Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:** - Experience in engineering management or technical leadership, with a focus on growth and ad technology. - Strong background in software engineering, data analysis, and machine learning. - Proficiency in C, Python, Java, or Scala. - Ability to make decisions based on data and analytics. - Comfort with SQL, data visualization tools, and business concepts. - Proven track record of experimental ideas for growth. - Exceptional leadership and team management skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. **Compensation & Benefits:** - Salary range: $176,166 - $251,666 plus equity. - Benefits include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. - Flexibility to work within the North America region. - Operates within the Eastern Standard time zone. - Spotify is an equal opportunity employer.
