Overview: - Lead the 'AI Foundations' studio at Spotify, developing core ML and Gen AI systems for personalized experiences. - Influence company-wide technology leadership and maintain Spotify's position as a leader in personalized experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Build, grow, and lead a team of engineers in a collaborative and inclusive environment. - Work with executive leads to define and communicate AI strategy. - Architect and deliver innovative AI systems for Spotify’s product ecosystem. - Design and maintain a technical roadmap aligned with user needs and business objectives. - Define, track, and report on metrics and KPIs for AI solutions. - Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams for strategic alignment. - Ensure team health, resilience, and growth, fostering a supportive culture. - Engage in third-party meetings for partnerships in the AI space. Requirements/Skills/Qualifications: - 10+ years of experience leading engineering teams and delivering scalable software solutions. - Strong track record in defining technical strategies and delivering GenAI-driven technologies. - Hands-on experience with GenAI, machine learning, large language models, and diffusion technologies. - Excellent analytical thinking and decision-making skills. - Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies. - Skilled communicator, comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders. - Passion for creating user-centered solutions and partnering with product, design, and insights teams. Compensation & Benefits: - Salary range: $416,749 - $595,355 plus equity. - Benefits include health insurance, six-month paid parental leave, 401(K) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. - Flexibility to work within the Northern US region, operating within the Eastern US time zone.
